The Strategic Education & Economic Development Corporation (SEED) was created by The University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, local governments and businesses. SEED is a nonprofit organization charged with helping Toledo area companies to promote and sell their products and services around the world.

SEED Mission Statement
Our mission is to pursue business opportunities or initiatives on an international scale, and develop linkages/networks with local and regional entities to foster economic growth/development and academic enrichment in our area and abroad.


By joining SEED, your organization will become part of a global network, one which consists of

  • export firms that have an established presence in selected global locations

  • firms seeking to establish a presence in selected regions of the glob

  • educational institutions that desire to enhance student population and/or research opportunities

  • NGO’s that desire to develop an outreach center for the purpose of extending their service delivery

  • entrepreneurs seeking to develop a product or service that has a global impact for production, marketing and distribution.
